ARTS-Us Community Center
ARTS-Us is a community-based founded by a group of African American artists, and multicultural educators. The work of ARTS-Us nurtures a supportive and enriched environment by combining academic, enrichment, cultural, and recreational activities to guide learning and engage youth. The programs provide opportunities for exposure, instruction, mentoring and service learning in a rich range of African Diaspora arts and culture.
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a global nonprofit organization that operates with one guiding principle: hold students accountable to the highest standards, provide academic and social support, and they will rise to the challenge. AVID’s kindergarten through higher education system brings research-based curriculum and strategies to students each day that develop critical thinking, literacy, and math skills across all content areas.
Minnesota Department of Education, Achievement and Integration
The purpose of the Achievement and Integration for Minnesota program is to pursue racial and economic integration, increase student achievement, create equitable educational opportunities, and reduce academic disparities based on students’ diverse racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds in Minnesota public schools.

NWSISD originally includes eight member districts: Anoka-Hennepin School District, Brooklyn Center Schools, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools, Elk River Area School District, Fridley Public Schools, Mounds View Public Schools, Osseo Area Schools, and Rockford Public Schools.

The Wellstone Center
The center is headquarters for several non-profits, primarily the Neighborhood House, a settlement house founded in 1897 that provides immigrants, refugees and low-income populations with tools to achieve self-sufficiency and work towards ending the cycle of poverty.
